Bouncepad iPad kiosks are being used inside Britain’s largest piece of public art. The 375ft high ArcelorMittal Orbit, designed by Anish Kapoor for the London Olympics, contains custom Bouncepads fitted with bicycle handlebars, allowing visitors to ‘ride the park’.
The iPads display a game in which users virtually cycle through the Olympic Park, moving the iPad to control their direction.
The Bouncepads are featured as part of a tour that takes visitors up 400 steps to the top of the Orbit Tower for a superb view of the Olympic Park.
The installation is by award-winning event and brand experience agency, Innovision, who were also responsible for producing those iconic giant Olympic rings which hung from Tower Bridge over the Thames last year.
Bouncepad iPad kiosks were used for the installation due to the flexible stalks, which enable users to twist and turn the iPad enclosure in any direction they choose.
