Watch House was born from a 25 square feet former watch house on Bermondsey Street. The unique 19th century, octagonal building was transformed in 2012 by Roland Horne and his team, into Watch House Coffee.
The foundations of what they do is great coffee, but Watch House are also renowned for their unique house-made food; from artisan sandwiches to tarts and stews. Roland Horne, CEO & Co-founder of Watch House commented: “Coffee lovers know what they want and are loyal to what is good. Watch House’s ethos is to be part of a community offering both beautiful coffee and food but also being a pivotal part of the artistic, musical and cultural harmony of our adopted communities.”
Their beautifully cosy environments are tailored around local communities to encourage people to sit in and enjoy the atmosphere, as well as the coffee. Watch House has four carefully curated central London locations. Every detail is important to them, and tablets are an integral part of their infrastructure. They needed protective cases that not only secured their tablets but were also a perfect fit aesthetically.
"There is a great selection of secure cases which means that this isn’t a worry. There doesn’t seem to be anyone else on the market doing such a wide range of useful storage solutions for iPads."
As a key part of the internal set-up of Watch House, tablets are used to manage music, take orders, as their point of sale system and for their Kitchen Display Systems (KDS for short) – orders are sent to KDS’s set up for coffee’s and food, negating the need for messy and environmental damaging paper tickets. Stephanie Gregg, Operations Manager at Watch House explained to us: “Bouncepads have been great at facilitating the needs for our sites - we use them for a variety of functions so that we are able to make our operation much more efficient.”
“We know that we can come to you guys and you always have a solution for what we want to do.”
"The minimal aesthetic of the cases means we can place them throughout our stores and it isn’t a huge design feature. It just feels like it’s always been there, it’s not damaging to any other aesthetics in the shop."

“Another huge benefit to Bouncepad is the increased security. When you are running an operation reliant on iPads, you run the risk of these being stolen. There is a great selection of secure cases which means that this isn’t a worry. There doesn’t seem to be anyone else on the market doing such a wide range of useful storage solutions for iPads. It means we can have continuity with say having an iPad on the coffee machine and then an iPad mounted on the wall. They look the same, but actually they are doing totally different things.”
