Nem Bar is a Vietnamese take-away restaurant based in Saint Clement de Riviere in the South of France. We caught up with the owner and co-founder, Frederique Nguyen about her experience with Eddy, our brand-new tablet stand.
Nem Bar opened in January this year. According to Frederique, it attracts an eclectic mix of customers from business owners to local school children. With four sunny yellow walls, contrasting teal features and wicker lights hanging from the ceiling, Nem Bar is an attractive, design-conscious eatery.
To Frederique, the front of the shop is significant and well thought-out – every detail matters. Frederique didn’t feel as though her previous tablet stand was up-to-scratch and started looking for one that would complement her countertop and be comfortable for her staff to use.
Fuss-free base
“I was using a standard tablet stand that was provided with the POS solution – I got a package deal with Popina. The tablet stand looked flimsy and wasn’t very practical, so I began the search for a new one.”
Frederique came across Eddy, our new tablet stand tailored for business and felt the new design was a perfect fit for her restaurant.
Perched on the front counter of the restaurant, Eddy is on display to welcome customers and take orders. “I like the cable management system,” Frederique tells us. “I can now charge my tablet throughout the day without having the cable getting in the way of my day-to-day tasks.”
“The tilt function allows me and my staff to adjust the angle of the screen for our respective heights and we no longer have to crouch on counter level to use the tablet. The rotating base is also very helpful; I can rotate the tablet to face the customer so they can check that I’ve entered their information correctly into our system, which reduces the chance of error.”
“The tablet locking system works brilliantly. I can lock the tablet in place and I also have the option to lock the stand on the counter with a Kensington lock for extra security, if needed.”
“I put a lot of thought into the design of my shop and aesthetically Eddy fits perfectly with its sleek and smart design. It looks neat on my counter. The quality is great and if I need to change tablet in the future, I won’t have to change stand which is an added bonus!”
